Eden, North Carolina, January 11, 2013 — KDH Defense Systems, Inc., (KDH) a leading manufacturer of American-made custom body armor solutions for military, law enforcement and federal agencies, today announced that it will introduce the industry’s first modular, scalable concealable armor system, the Transformer Armor System, as well as its new comprehensive line of advanced soft and hard armor solutions during the 2013 Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show and Conference (SHOT Show). The show begins on January 15th and runs through the 18th at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. KDH will be exhibiting at Booth #6003, located on Level One in the Law Enforcement & Tactical Gear Section, adjacent to the New Products Center.

“KDH continues its mission of redefining performance excellence with the introduction of the Transformer Armor System, the industry’s first modular, scalable concealable armor system platform offering comfort, performance, and unprecedented system flexibility,” stated Dave Herbener, Chief Executive Officer for KDH. “The Transformer Armor System represents a significant paradigm shift for the law enforcement community, providing an entirely new and unique way for officers to wear and care for concealable armor. Unlike any other concealable carrier system on the market today, the Transformer Armor System allows the law enforcement officer to rapidly convert the carrier to adapt to mission specific requirements with minimal effort for covert or special detail enforcement operations. This system underscores our commitment to the consistent delivery of high-quality, innovative life-saving products that have been engineered to exceed the expectations of our customers,” Mr. Herbener concluded.

Paul Larkin, KDH’s National Director of Sales stated, “KDH’s 2013 law enforcement body armor solutions have received some exciting, next generation, robust design improvements and enhancements for ensuring officer safety. We’ve made some very significant modifications to our concealable and tactical product line offerings. The feedback on our new product line and most recent design innovations has been positive from both dealers and end-users and we look forward to sharing and demonstrating these latest developments with our customers during SHOT Show.”

Rafael Rodriguez, KDH’s Executive Vice President of Operations added, “In addition to KDH’s renowned soft body armor systems, KDH has developed integrated, light weight ceramic hard armor body armor solutions, manufactured in the U.S.A. at its Eden, North Carolina facility. KDH is now manufacturing hard armor plates capable of defeating high-powered rifle threats including Level III and Level IV, either in combination with KDH’s Level IIIA soft body armor systems or as a stand –alone. KHD will be introducing these during SHOT Show and will be available in two shapes, standard full-size or shooter’s cut, depending on agency requirements for comfort and function.”

More than 100 countries will be represented at the SHOT Show. Filling the Sands Expo and Convention Center to capacity with 1,600 exhibiting companies covering 630,000 net square feet with their booths, SHOT Show brings together all facets of the $4 billion industry. The show is the largest and most comprehensive tradeshow for all professionals involved with the shooting sports, hunting and law enforcement industries. It is the world’s premier exposition of combined firearms, ammunition, law enforcement, cutlery, outdoor apparel, optics and related products and services.
